“The Difference” at the Trust
We believe that insurance is a promise—a promise to be there for our members when they need us most. Since 1970, Wisconsin public school employees and their families have come to count on the Trust to deliver that promise. We call that “The Trust Difference.”
We put our members first and it shows—“WEA Trust Rated Number 1 in Wisconsin”
Our members depend on us for insurance and financial security, and we deliver. The WEA Trust recently received the highest scores in Wisconsin for customer service. The WEA Trust also received the top rating in Wisconsin for overall health plan and the number three rating in the nation, according to a national survey (2008 Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems, or CAHPS®) that included nearly 300 health plans.
Our organization
Created by the Wisconsin Education Association Council (WEAC) and headquartered in Madison, Wisconsin, the Trust is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the health and financial security of Wisconsin public school employees and their families. A Board of Trustees—all current or retired public school employees—oversees Trust operations and serves without financial compensation. As educators, they understand the needs of public school employees, and are able to use that knowledge to ensure that Trust members get high quality and great value in their insurance.
What we offer
The Trust offers health, dental, life, long term disability, short term disability, and long term care insurance plans. These plans are available to members through bargaining between their local union and their employer. These comprehensive benefits are backed by unparalleled customer service.
